Mmmmm. It’s totally worth it. But I’m a west coast girl, and this was my first Atlantic dawn run of this decade. Totally worth it.

Our lake beach has sunset, not sunrise. Either way, sun going up or down, a beach is the best place to appreciate it.

Even more beautiful: the dozens of families who got up just before dawn to watch the sunrise together. Most in their jammies, wrapped in blankets. It was quite moving to behold.

Beautiful pictures… I like the idea of sunset… But then on the other hand if you get a sunrise like this (and you actually manage to be up and running at this time of the day) it is definitely awesome too…
